People can’t move one place to another place without any automobiles or paved highways which are hard to believe and image their lifestyle. So to speak, it was like before the Federal Highway Act of 1921 shifted highway building into high gear, when there is your grandparents. The highways as we know them stem up from the work that we did after Eisenhower signed the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956. United States created a federal Department of Transportation in 1966 to supervise all the miles of highway in America.
